A heated argument erupted at a local Taco Bell near Decatur and Alta, triggering a campus-wide lockdown at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), as a precautionary measure. The dispute, characterized by loud shouting and potential threats, alarmed nearby patrons and staff, prompting swift action. UNLV authorities swiftly implemented lockdown protocols to ensure the safety of students and faculty 8 miles away. While tensions escalated momentarily when a patron was given a taco with a soft shell, rather than a hard shell.  Taco Bell shift manager Elisse Stone claimed the patron ordered it that way and that was what they got. An argument started with people being called bitch and punk. The situation was contained without any reported injuries after Stone relented and gave them the taco they wanted,. The lockdown at UNLV was lifted shortly after, with the Taco Bell returning to normal business.
